The sketch on the website gives an idea of what the church might look like as a one-story building. The congregation has decided to proceed with that type of design.
Right now we are experiencing a little bit of a lull while we wait for the state to approve our septic facilities. After the state approves this, I believe there must be approval of the facilities by county authorities which we do not anticipate will take much time. We have a contract that we are perusing for the building and then there will be more accurate plans made by an architect. Building will then begin.
We already have pews donated by a church in Kentucky. Our building fund has exceeded $30,000. We were very satisfied with the settlement from our insurance company.
So we will be well on our way as soon as we get an answer from the state.

We have a verbal OK for septic tank permit. Razorback Co.Of In Inc. are doing final drawings.

We received the permit from the state. Now for the county.

We have word that materials for the new building have been ordered to arrive on January 6, 2003
No word as yet on date for ground breaking.

Construction is moving right along.

The weather has much improved and progress has been good. The roof is on and work
is going on inside. Wireing and heating and cooling ducts are being installed.

In a special called meeting last night we selected the kitchen cabinets, texture of ceiling,
and areas to be carpeted. We discussed type and color of carpets, class rooms, and
deck and ramps for outside entrances. Also talked about security alarm.

The brick layers are laying brick, the painters are painting inside, the carpet is ordered, the
kitchen cabinets are ordered, and the bell is in the tower.
We hope to be in the new building by the middle of July.

The outside is pretty well done. The bricks are on and the walkways are poured.
Painting is almost done. The heating and airconditioning system is nearing completion.
The stained glass window is being installed.
The cabinets in the kitchen should be done next week. We should be ready for the
carpet before very long.

It was decided at the July 2004 business meeting to blacktop the stoned area
of the parking lot.
Also, subject to obtaining a permit from the state, to add an addition to the
east side of the building. This addition is to contain 4 rooms for classrooms.

The four room addition is completed on the inside and being used, the brick will be installed on
the outside of the addition as soon as weather permits.
